Aprio’s TGRP Deal Brings 70-Plus Professionals Into Its Advisory Practice

Aprio says more than 70 professionals from Denver-area TGRP Solutions are joining its advisory practice following an acquisition effective Oct. 1. The deal adds interim finance leadership, technical accounting and recruiting services to Aprio’s offering for Colorado businesses, according to Aprio’s announcement.

For a company that needs a finance leader now while recruiting a permanent hire, the combination puts both services within one practice. TGRP describes consulting services that include interim finance support and a direct-hire placement service. Aprio says it is bringing that work together with its accounting and talent advisory services in an offering it calls the Office of the CFO.

Colorado footprint and deal terms

Aprio reported 35 people across its Greenwood Village and Westminster offices before the acquisition and calls TGRP its fifth Denver-market combination. The more-than-70 figure describes professionals joining Aprio’s advisory practice; it is not a count of newly created Denver jobs or a reported post-deal headcount for those offices.

Aprio announced the acquisition as effective Oct. 1 but did not specify separate signing or closing dates. It also did not disclose a purchase price or enterprise value. The size it reported is the incoming team, not a dollar valuation of the deal.

Aprio says TGRP founder Mark Reister, consulting managing director Jim Lockhart and placement director Doug Nassif are joining as partners. Their stated roles bring leaders of TGRP’s consulting and recruiting work into the combined practice.
