Aprio Buys Denver’s TGRP, Expanding Finance Consulting and Recruiting
More than 70 TGRP professionals are joining Aprio’s advisory practice in a deal that puts established accounting and finance-talent services alongside its existing Colorado operation.
Aprio acquired Denver-based TGRP Solutions in a combination effective October 1, 2026, bringing technical accounting, finance consulting and accounting-and-finance talent services into its existing Colorado operation. More than 70 TGRP professionals are joining Aprio’s advisory practice, according to Aprio’s announcement.
For Colorado companies seeking specialized accounting help or finance staff, the competitive change is the provider behind those services. TGRP did the consulting and recruiting work before the acquisition; clients can now consider it alongside Aprio’s established tax and advisory services.
Consulting and recruiting in one practice
Aprio says the acquisition strengthens a developing “Office of the CFO” offering that pairs accounting advisory with talent advisory. That combination is relevant to middle-market, private-equity-backed and public-company finance teams, the client groups Aprio identifies for the expanded practice. A company weighing a technical accounting project and a search for finance talent has another combined provider to consider.
TGRP’s leadership directory identifies Mark Reister as president, Jim Lockhart as managing director of consulting and Doug Nassif as director of placement and contract solutions. Aprio says all three are joining as partners, bringing leaders from both TGRP’s consulting and placement work into the firm.
A fifth Denver-market combination
Aprio calls this its fifth combination in the Denver market. It entered Colorado through a July 2023 combination with Gomerdinger & Associates and says it had 35 team members across two Denver-market offices immediately before acquiring TGRP. The more-than-70 figure describes professionals joining Aprio’s advisory practice, rather than a new Denver-only headcount.
The deal broadens what Aprio’s existing Colorado operation can offer: companies can consider the combined firm for both specialist finance work and the people needed to staff it.
