Colorado led No. 12 Texas Tech 7–3 at halftime on October 3, but four second-half interceptions turned the game at Folsom Field into a 29–7 Red Raiders win. The Buffaloes fell to 2–3 overall and 0–2 in the Big 12; Texas Tech improved to 5–0 and 2–0.

The turnovers outweighed Colorado’s edge in yardage. The Buffaloes gained 375 total yards to Tech’s 315 but did not score after halftime. Isaac Wilson, making his first Colorado start, threw for 290 yards and a touchdown alongside three interceptions. Receiver Joseph Williams threw the other pick on a trick play.

How Texas Tech took the lead

Brice Pollock intercepted Williams in the third quarter, setting up a field goal. Malik Esquerra then picked off Wilson, and Will Hammond found Terrance Carter Jr. for an 11-yard touchdown pass that put Tech ahead 12–7, according to the game play-by-play.

Pollock’s second interception set up a fourth-quarter field goal. John Curry later intercepted Wilson near Colorado’s goal line and scored with 7:10 remaining, extending the lead to 22–7. Quinten Joyner’s 30-yard touchdown run completed the scoring.

Both teams have an open week before October 17 games: Colorado hosts Utah, and Texas Tech hosts Arizona State.
