Denver’s TrackVia Says AI Assistant Connection Comes With Every Plan

Denver-based TrackVia says its connection for supported outside AI assistants is available on every TrackVia plan without a separate purchase from TrackVia. The company highlighted that offer in a September 30 field-operations platform announcement. For businesses managing work orders and inspections, the purchasing distinction is that the connection is included in TrackVia’s stated plan-wide offer, while the outside assistant has its own account requirements.

The announcement also describes TrackVia IRIS, an in-app tool for asking plain-language questions about operational data. It serves a different purpose from the outside connection: IRIS answers questions from permitted records, while a supported external assistant can work with applications and workflows within the user’s permissions. That gives field teams two ways to approach a task, depending on whether they need information or an authorized interaction with a workflow.

Answers and workflow interactions

TrackVia describes IRIS as read-only: it answers questions about data the user is authorized to see without changing records. Its separate Model Context Protocol connection, described in the company’s developer documentation, allows supported outside assistants to interact with applications and workflows subject to that user’s permissions.

TrackVia also says it has rebuilt its Android app and is rolling out a refreshed web experience. Those interface changes are part of the broader platform package described in its September 30 announcement.

Where the plan-wide offer stops

The no-separate-purchase term applies to TrackVia’s connection, not an external AI account. TrackVia’s developer documentation says connecting through ChatGPT requires a Business, Enterprise or Edu plan with Developer Mode enabled. TrackVia’s general terms place its own subscription fees on the customer’s order form. A business weighing the offer can therefore check both its TrackVia terms and the requirements of the assistant it intends to connect.
